It's friends, family, and contacts only as ar as I know and you can only assign rights to friends, family and anyone.

Dont you mean sets and collections ? Sets are a group of photos. Collections are a group of sets.

    collections indeed...
pity you can't assign another group such as "boards members"

if i upload a high res image, can i restrict access for some people to just the low res version? I've seen on some flickr accounts that the alternative size option isn't available. What am i missing, bar the feeling of eating wagon wheels on a saturday night whilst watching knight rider?

another question re flickr - is it possible to supply an irish postcode which flickr will accept? a friend was trying to set an account up recently, and ended up having to supply a UK address to get past the mandatory postcode requirement.

you can restrict vailable sizes by family, friends, everyone I think. Just can't see how off hand

I don't believe that it'll have much "sense" behind it - I always use C0RK (C zero RK) and that gets through most screens.

As for the image download thing - I think that you set it at:-

    http://www.flickr.com/account/prefs/downloads/?from=privacy

You get 5 levels of who can download your photos...

for a bit more granularity you can make use of guest passes, or try adding photos to groups (group membership will override individual privacy settings for a specific photo), or if you want, try creating your own contacts "group" which you can add your photos too and then invite your contacts to see them...

On any sites which require a postcode I normally insert ROI. Always works for me.
