Do-It-Yourself Wills

I need to obtain a pack of forms or a CD Software package which will let me write my own will. I've found a couple online but on closer inspection have found that they are only valid in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Does anyone know where I can get one of these do it yourself will kits which are valid in the Republic? I would rather write one myself as I have been quoted around €250 + VAT from a solicitor.

An example of the kind of thing I'm talking about is here:

    Thanks!

most solicitors'll do a will for you for nothing, or at least a sod of a lot less than what you quote.

the understanding would tend to be that they would get to administer the estate when you die. The will is kept safely in the solicitors safe, and if you decide at some point that you want to have the will administered by somebody else or whatever, then the fee is payable. Otherwise, it'll tend to be free, insofar as you'll never pay for it! :D

There is also the issue of the benefit of the solicitors professional indemnity insurance. Make a mess of it yourself and there is nothing which can be done. It is false economy of the most extreme kind to do a DIY will.

I went to Wills.ie and I entered my details and they do up a free one for you to sign and have witnessed, if you only want to leave your estate to one person. Thank you for recommending it... it's just what I need for now. I'll go to a solicitor's in the future when I need to make a more in depth one. Thanks guys!
