when looking at http://www.autotrader.co.uk many ads have "Trade" beside them but greyed out like here
Now my question is simply this. Does it mean "trade" as in its a car been sold from a garage, or "trade" as in buy at your own risk?
I think its a garage sale as theres so many like that but im open to correction.
I rang Autotrader but they didnt have a clue what i was on about. :(

I think they differentiate between private and garage sales. means it's not a private seller.

It means it is for sale by a retailer, not a private seller. Means it is covered by consumer law, the seller has a responsibility to ensure that the car is fit for purpose.

Auto-Trader and the like were originally mainly used for private sellers but are now full of garages and traders. Not a bad thing unless they are traders pretending to be private sellers.
