Car transfers from wheelchairs

Looking for info for transferring from car to wheelchair and visa versa,it seems to m that the distance from the car seat to the wheelchair has increased a lot in new cars would any one knew if a small transfer board is suitable and where can they be got regards

Hi Michael.

Have you dealt with the Occupational Therapy Department in your Community Care Area?? You could ask them if they can supply you with one....? Or you could log onto www.assistireland.ie. This is a great website full of interesting information. It gives a list of various items of Assistive Technology and who supplies them.
