Shane and I will have been going out for 10 years on the 16th of November (or rather, we had our first date). Any suggestions as to what to do to mark this big occasion. We were thinking of going to Paris. The only thing is food related events are out for me (medical issue). If anyone could think of anything romantic, thanks.

This is probably silly......but how about a helicopter ride over the city with a small glass of bubbly?
    Just a thought?

The only thing I know about a 10th anniversary is that its tin/alluminium. Not much help I know but I'll think of something.

Well cant say I've ever reached the 10 year mark myself, so congratulations to you both. :)

Personally I like to revisit the area of the first date. I like the nostalgia boost I gives and the old memories, things you've both forgotten etc.

Obviously that would depend on where the first date was and other factors though.

I quite like racram's idea, perhaps substitute the Chopper for a Hot air balloon though - Something completely random. I saw this crowd advertised at the Irish Parachute Center last week. Would be unsure of the pricing though -

How about booking somewhere in Ireland with spa facilities. Somewhere like Delphi or Powerscourt. Long walks in the fresh mountain air, snuggle up in front of a log fire and a bit of pampering for you both with a massage or reflexology or something like that. I know these places can be expensive for weekend breaks but a lot of them do mid week offers. I found 1 example for €180 at http://www.theheritage.com/?id=91&PackageCatId=1&blnAll=1

It is expensive isn't it! But a balloon flight would be beautiful at sunrise or sunset! How romantic!

totally agree, nothing nicer to get away from it all, kids work, home ,life, just you and your loved one to stop and spend good pure time with each other, doesnt matter where in the world ye are, cos ye will get to savor each others undivided company. (god i didnt think i was that romantic!!!!):D:D
