I think its more down to the history of the Soccer board where the mods have to ensure that, no matter how Superior your post was, it doesnt upset the locals and start off all the old ****e again.

AFAIK there is a sub forum for the Soccer forum showing how long people are banned for.

And isnt it set out in the terms and conditions that you confirm you have read when you initially sign up?
