Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Using 3 Phone as Modem

    Hi All,

Just thinking of switcing to 3 Bill from Voda RTG. I was going to get the 100mins + mobile broadband 100 addon. Basically I want to use the phone as a modem, would 100mb be enough usage per month for just general browsing.

Was recommended a Motorola V3xx as it is HSDPA compatible.

    Any advice would be appreciated

Have you ever heard that motos were the worst phones ever made by any chance.....?!

I would ill advise on getting a v3xx, I had one for a month.......

I would rather be stuck in the outback with a christy moore tape for eternity than own another v3xx.

Depends on what your using it for if you are going to look at a load of youtube videos it will be eaten up very quick. Also while 3 mobile works out very handy its not the most responsive can be very frustrating waiting for pages to reply when you try to open them

I was going to buy the v3xx to use as a high speed modem also.... then I remembered the v3x that is currently thrown somewhere in my room because texting with it nearly caused me to break down in tears.

It really should be renamed the V3pita.

If you are near a Carphonewarehouse store I'd recommend getting the 6120, its exclusive to them with Three.
    Its got HSDPA.

BTW: I have a Moto v3xx, which I opted for when I signed up 6 weeks ago, it is a pretty crap phone, especially for texting (arggh!), tried using Live Messenger on it recently as 3 have blocked Live Messenger on my main phone, Nokia e61 (See other thread on 3 and 3rd party apps) and it is a terrible experience.

Also if you use your phone as a modem, 3 do block a lot of sites, also you can't use Live Messenger on your pc through it.
