    Anyone have an idea which online car check is best, cartell, autocheck.ie etc..

    Ta wba88, I tried that, I know someone posted a link before to another site that would give you the number of owners for free, I think that was an auction site too..
    Don't mind having to pay for it if I have to...

    Certainly good value assuming the mileage check can be done. Cartell don't offer a mileage check.

    In fairness, how accurate can a mileage check be? Besides the NCT and proper main dealer authentic (not stamped by your mate at the local garage) service history there's really no way of verifying the mileage of a car at any given time - this is rarely recorded anywhere. It's loosely written on some finance agreements but from my experience is not recorded digitally anywhere by the finance company or the ICB - the form is just scanned and archived - this crowd certainly would not have access to those.
