Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone else using fring on 3?

It was working fine for me upto about 2 or 3 wks ago and haven't been able to connect to the fring network since.

Found out that 3 had mistakingly put me onto Mobile Broadband Casual User v Mobile Broadband 100 which is what I pay for - now fixed, but problem still persists.

Am wondering if the adding of X-series to their systems is causing fring to be blocked on mobile broadband. If so, may need to change my add on.

Would really appreciate it if anyone out there using fring on either mobile broadband or X-series can reply with whether it works for them or not.

    TIA.

I've only recently switched to three and am on the broadband 100, but fring has never worked for me over their network.

similar problem here. was using fring on mobile broadband and fring worked fine. switched to x-series and then it stopped. however i think this was more to do with this 'upgrade' they carried out because of the problems with the datamodem / broadband product. It appears that they are now blocking alot of ports. This could be the reason that Fring will not work. I don't know if they are going to reverse this at any stage. You could call customer service, but you may end with concussion from banging your head against a wall!!

Been there - done that
Was on to them for 40mins trying to explain what fring was, that it was working for 4months without a problem but isn't now... After a while the support guy suggested I might need to switch to X-Series, but didn't know if that would fix it - then it turn out someone switched off my Mobile Broadband 100 3 wks ago without my permission and I've been on expensive BB for 3 wks now

It's really annoying - as this is main data app that I use.
I'll phone again and try and get someone to escalate it. I also suspect a blocked port - only wish fring would give better error reporting.

Switching to X-Series may not help, I'm on X-Series Gold and I don't have it either but I haven't gotten on to Three about it yet - trying to find out what the situation is for the varous addons first so I know what I'm talking about when I go to them - even if they don't.

A bunch of other 3rd party apps are no longer working for me since the last 'upgrade' either - voipbuster and MSN for symbian to name just 2.
