What other residential areas in cork besides bishopstown are relatively near(walking distance) to CIT or a short enough bus ride to the college but is also not a rough area?

Wilton, Dennehy's Cross, College Road (by UCC)

Bus from town would take about a half hour in the busy times during the morning.

If you had to live outside the city away from CIT there are orbital buses that go from the Northside to CIT and the Southside to CIT
