Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I started tidying my wardrobe yesterday finished this morning! I have aquestion my boyfriend says I have a problem with clothes I always laughed it off before but now I am thinking he could be right. After throwing/giving away I am left with a lot. Here are a few examples:

40 Vest tops different colours and straps

    30ish t shirts

    20 pairs of jeans

Not to mention 5 nearly exactly the same black v neck jumpers!

Am I the norm or is this excessive I am currently filling 7 drawers a built in double wardrobe with double hanging!

You sound perfectly normal to me! I live with my boyfriend and i have 1 and a half wardrobes for my clithes plus we had to buy a big chest of drawers just for my tops! I've got better recently though. A friend of mine introduced me to the "one in -one out rule" if you want to buy something new you have to get rid of something old to make room for it. I'm also saving money at the moment so it's taught me to think a little more. I'll look at something and say you ahvwe something like it, do you really need it, more often than not i put it back, don't buy it and save the money and space.

Girlfriend has 83 pairs of jeans. I'd say you're normal

It's a lot but I'm sure many people are in the same boat.

Personally, I try to avoid this by reflecting on what I'm buying - do I really need it? What will it do for my wardrobe? Do I already have something similar that would do the same? Will it last (both in terms of material quality and not being too obviously trendy)?

When I lived with my ex, I had two wardrobes for clothes and one for my make up and shoes, so I reckon your normal!

You're normal. I have a double wardrobe for my hanging clothes, two 6-drawer chests for my tops, six small drawers for my underwear & socks, 28 bikinis, 52 pairs of shoes and a double wardrobe for my jackets & coats.

Watna's rule of 1 item in-1 item out is a great idea. I've tried it and it stops your wardrobe taking over the entire house. It also makes you think twice when you are in the shops about to do more damage to the credit card.

Here's an idea, sell the old (decent) stuff you no longer want on Ebay..:)

Yes, you are normal. I have a bedroom to store my clothes in (have 3 rails and a small wardrobe, could do with a cupboard also).
