Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well, I've been using Orb since before moving to X-Series so I just kept my original account and that works for audio and photos and for a limited selection of video. For the videos that don't know I think it's some screw-up with Three as I can stream all videos over wi-fi and the Orb PC app tells me that directstream is working through my UPnP router.

Just register at http://www.orb.com and then navigate to http://mycast.orb.com on your phone and login.

Now what this will do to my data allowance is unknown at this point but since my Real streams time out after about 5-10 minutes anyway I don't really think that Three will be in a position to complain.

What URL do you use on your phone to access x-series from there?

Im not that far i cant register ive followed the registration so far and it wants to send me a link i presume but all i get is a box to enter my number and it says its invalid and only seems to allow +44 numbers.

I already had a non-three orb account. As Three seem to be using me to do their testing for them I figured I'd do a little of my own.

Went to the URL above on my phone and logged in with my existing Orb account. All my media showed up fine but nothing would stream. The pages were three branded though which was new for me.

Anyway, that made me wonder if there was something different about the Three Orb client that was preventing me streaming from the PC so I uninstalled my unbranded Orb Nokia client on my pc and installed the version available at www.three.ie/orb.

Like you I went through the registration process for a new account but got stuck on the incompatible number crap - pretty smooth Three :D

Then I figured what the hell, I would add my existing Orb account to the new client and try logging on to http://3ie.orb.com with that and sure enough, it worked.

Tried it also from my phone, an N80, could stream music ok but no video either from Internet TV or my own videos on my pc.

Then I wondered if I was using the right stream so I changed it in settings from real stream to the first 3gp stream with rtsp in it and voila, it worked for audio and video.

In my humble opinion Three shouldn't have released X-Series until it was ready for primetime. Requiring that UK number is just typical of the disregard they have been showing customers here, wasting their time setting up a product that's not ready yet. It is in this spirit that I am releasing this information here.

Sounds like a firewall issue to me - either on your pc or router or maybe both the ports you need are blocked.

As far as I remember, ports 554 for real, 80 for windows media and 3998-4001 for Orb need to be opened but check on the Orb site in the support section for them just to be sure.

If your pc can't connect to the Orb server you usually see something on the Orb page telling you your computer is not connected.
