Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

satted into the omaha for 32 bucks. now to spin it into 100k

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,403 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Tonight is 6 - max yamaha and 2 - 7 lowball triple draw. I think most people bothering with an event tonight will avoid one of those!!

There is a temptation, when looking at omaha tournaments, to just put it aside in your head as being nothing more than a retarded run - good fest. Particularly when short - handed (there has never been a 6 - max omaha event at the wsop). Despite the fact that I know very little about omaha - I do know that even gin pre - flop hands like AAJ10 double suited are never going to be much more than a 60% fav if the money goes in. And that in recurring mid to late game tourney situations where you make a late position raise; just to see a short stack re - pot meaning you will get approx 2:1 if you get it in with them - I'm unsure what hands you could actually fold!!

However, when one considers the consistent results that the likes of Andy Black and Paul Lecky have had this year in live, hugh - buyin festival omaha tournaments; and the fact that Dave Callaghan had two deep runs in the championship omaha events at both the WSOP and the WSOPE, there MUST be more to this game than running good.

I have only played a tiny amount of micro - stakes omaha - but have a couple of small results. I think this will be plenty of fun at the very least!!

    Structure

Last night's 6 - max NLHE event ran for just under 17 hours. There were rumblings on 2 + 2 this morning (and in the emails sent to those doing the FT commentary on the web) that these structures are too long, health and safety, etc. I think the structures are unreal - and should stay this way. Has no - one ever worked 24 hrs straight before? Never worked a long shift, played poker all night - and gone straight into work again? On a weekly basis the regular Sunday million will generally have a couple of clueless luckboxes at the FT. Last night, the avg stack stayed between 40 - 60 BBs for most of the tournament, and when HU play began the effective stacks were 100 BBs. The winner is a regular destroyer of the 6 - max 10 / 20 NLHE on stars. Skill game?

And finally, some dude from Wexford finished fourth in the five - card draw last night, earning over 17k in a chop.

    Let us gogogogogo!!

yeah the structure last night was fanatsic. i was short for about 4 hours and never felt under pressure to start shipping it in.

gogogogo!! The structure is actually better than some medium buy - in live events tbf. The general setups for the WCOOP events sure beat the crap out of almost every online event - that's for sure.
