Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

99, would have flop a set, thought puffin was trying to outplay me on the flop with position, so was happy to call and planning for him to fold, so couldn't call a reraise. poor play on hindsight

only seen that as the first hand since i logged on. you would have broke even. Did you think the other guy was capable of squeezing all in there?

Meh pfft n all that.. what ya gonna do. I was begining to get walked over on the table and decided to make a stand. My open raising 3 x bb was so obvious and i folded to re raises. Played poorly, was card dead for a long while and when raising with dirt (which i never do) I was getting re raised.

Thanks for posting the hands Tony. Ya know me and computers.

Live tournys thats where its at lol.

Good luck to anyone left in

I'm watching a bit of it at present. There is also a bit of drama. Second in chips is Fredmaniac - an account that has OPR stats of him donking around in a few $1 tourneys. And yet he is playing some very assured bigstack tourney poker in a mentally draining format with a sick tough field. Automatic suspicion of account sharing - or shenanigans of one type or another.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 658 ✭✭✭Hawk Eye

Interesting I'll keep an eye out for him, btw did you see your suspicions posted somewhere else or did you just make that assumption? Just wondering thats all, doubt stars would do anything anyway as it would be very difficult to prove.

Someone Brought it up in the 2 + 2 sweat thread:

    http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/pokerstars/fredmainiac/poker/results/D73636C4450142EDB2C6A428BF568154.html?t=2

It doesn't prove anything in itself of course. But it is a fairly well known fact that multi - accounting; account swapping; numerous horse arrangements; and two or more to a hand is rampant in online tournament poker at the upper levels.

This particular situation could be one where an excellent player buys a lesser player into the tourney and briefs him to ABC it up for the first few hours before taking over later in the tournament. It's a problem if true - because it will affect how people play him on the FT and other pay bubbles. It will also affect how people bargain with him if he gets to a chop discussion.

I noticed the name of a good small stakes tourney player I know from another site in one of Jay's hands earlier and I can tell you for certain it was a much more high profile player playing the account. I don't think anyone was trying very hard to hide the fact either.

Went out just outside the bubble - played well for the first 5 hours or so but then got pretty tired and lost some focus (and lots of chips). Went out when aj didn't hold up against qj in a battle of the blinds with a J high flop. I registered for this early last week and didn't realise it would get so many runners, in hidsight it was a mistake to play cause i'm absolutely shattered today at work!

Thought there was alot of value in the tournament though, plenty of questionable plays, especially in the 2nd and 3rd hour.

Heads up after 19 and a half hours of play. Is this a record for an on-line tourney?

was just looking at the heads up game, that will take 2 days to finish?

Anyone any ideas how this works, I love heads up, but playing for so long will be very tough and waiting for other games to finish etc each round.
