Just picked up my new Thompson M1A1 from Shiva.
I'm wondering if there are any kits out there to turn it from
    stuff.jpg
    into
    tommy-gun.jpg

I've looked all over the place and couldn't find anything.

Someone got one on Saturday with the wood conversion kit at the same time. Its a sweet AEG and replica especially with the wood conversion kit.

    Very tempted by it, very..

Well I was thinking of making the drum mag myself
I took off the front handguard, I'm sure the vertical foregrip could go on that, the rest of the inaccuracies I could live with.

a m4 drum mag ? it wont fit the magwell.

you can do a custom like this :
you have to find a real thompson drum mag, and then fit a thompson hicap into it (you need to be good with resin and stuff like this)
for the front set get the CAW custom thingy (search on hk shops)
and then for the handguard i think you can also find parts from real ones.
    ebay's your best friend now.

this modification is some hard job. not recommended if you are not experienced.

You can get a kit for the Marui to change the body. I don't know about the drum and the foregrip though. I 've been looking!

    Redwolf stock it...

yes, even more so tempted since it's been on my wish-list for quite some time. Only thing I'd say after seeing the wood-kit is to apply some darker varnish to the wood to give it a bit more of a real look - the wood looked a little too bright for my own personal tastes.

I actually want two; one for an M41a pulse rifle kit. But I also need a sten and a bren - both customs so not going to be gentle on the aul' wallet either

My bank balance soooooo does not need these thoughts right now :D

Id much prefer it as the M1a1 Thompson then the M1921 'gangsta look. There just is something fantastic about it as it is. I really dont like the drumb barrel on it.

Yeah you told me to darken it alright. I might do that next Sunday when I have a bit of time. The foregrip is especially lighter than the rest. I'm going to have a look around at some pics and try match the colours with a varnish. Pictures can be deceiving though.

Looking for a bren... try www.shootnscoot.co.uk

I've got two and converting one.

I've got a Cyma Thompson, which I use normally and then a TM thompson with a converted Chinese CAW M1928 kit (It's not out yet) and then I need to convert a spring thompson drum mag with a thompson hi-cap.
