So far that is what's coming from the the FG 'think-in' in Galway. Never was the irony so prevalent. Yet another nugget from Kenny "Ireland is evolving, who do you want to lead it Fianna Fail or Fine Gael? If he was living in the same country as the rest of us that decision was been made. More nonsense from Kenny Lite

The problem is that the leader of the 2nd largest party in the country thinks that it is sensible to put "evolving" and "leadership" in the same sentence.

We have elections at intervals depending on circumstances. The present govt. could fall over Bertie's finances or something else or it could run its course.

Was listening to Newstalk where Kenny refered to Ms Murtagh the AIB foreign exchange expert as a foreign affairs expert and on the proposed dail motion on Shannon "we are calling on people to put their foot where their mouth is, so to speak"

    Maybe he meant Revolving.

    Unlikely IMHO.

At best the coalition partners might ask politely for Bertie to resign.

At worst a general election would see FF returned with a majority.

Agreed but I was making the point in response to M who seemed to think that because Bertie had been elected again all debate should stop as if there would never be another election.

No i don't think debate should stop but would like an opposition thats effective, not led by someone who demonstrates the same level of undestanding as George W Bush

I agree. E. Kenny is a lightweight but in comparison to the Taoiseach he looks like an intellectual. However, there is the suspicion that Bertie plays the "harmless eejit" but then again there was that attempt to appear as if he had a 3rd level qualification.

Kenny never ceases to suprise me.

He lost it when FG began losing the race and all it made him look like was an utter fool.
FG won't get into power unless Kenny leaves as party head.

Ah, Layke, come on, if Bertie Ahern can be Taoiseach, anyone can.
