Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm just curious to know if there is any set procedure (can/can't do's) in place for members of the Gardai pertaining to the arrest of someone in a wheelchair,on crutches or who has some other kind of infirmity?

I would doubt it. At a guess I would say that the Gardai are required to respect the health and safety of the arrestee, as well as themselves and the public. So if, for example, a guy in crutches was assaulting people with crutches, they'd be entitled to confiscate the crutches and arrest him.

If on the other hand, a guy on crutches was dealing drugs, but not using the crutches as weapons, then they shouldn't confiscate them.
