E30 turbo? What model is that?

My guess is his E30 BMW 3 Series blew a turbo. I don't know what he wants us to do about it though. Directions for Ann Summers or something?

Was there an E30 turbodiesel? A 324TD or something? I can't think of any turbocharged E30s sold new in RHD.

The only E30 with a turbo was the 324td, which was never offered here(or even in RHD)AFAIK. BMW never offered a 4 pot diesel in the E30, and the only turbo Petrols they offered between the 2002ti and today was the 745i E32(which we never got AFAIK, buy I'm not certain, I wasn't even born at the time:D ), and the 335i, and now the 135i.

I'd be 99% certain that the OP has a modified E30; I wonder has it got an engine conversion(with a turbo added on); a popular conversion for the E30 is to get rid of the M20B20(320i)/M20B25(325i) and put in the M50B25(as featured in the E36 325i, E34 525i) lump instead, as the M50B25 has 192 bhp as opposed to the M20B25 which has 171 bhp(170 bhp with a catalytic convertor) with Bosch Jetronic fuel injection(or 168 bhp when fitted with the Bosch Motronic fuel injection system).

In all likihood it is a modded turbo 325i(with the engine from the E36 325i perhaps?)

I think he's looking for replacement engine suggestions for his E30.

M70 V12 swap from the E32/E31, smooth and torquey if not tight in the E30's bay :). V8's: An LS1 from the US or an M60/M62 from the 540/840/740.

S38 from the E34 M5 E24 635CSI? Classic BMW inline 6 howl from this one. S50/52 from the E36 M3 is a nice one too.

IIRC the M62 is lighter than the S38 (alum block) so if you are worried about the balance of your E30 then it might be a better option.
