Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Scheduled tasks problem in 2003

Hope someone else has seen this. I'm trying to set up a scheduled task to run every 10 minutes on a Win 2003 server. The only options on the standard schedule page are Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Once, Startup, Logon, when idle. But in the advanced options you can set it to repeat every 10 mins.

Now the problem. I set up the job as daily but repeating every 10 mins. It kicks off and resubmits itself for 10 mins later. The next time it runs it resubmits itself for the original time on the following day! If I try Once it runs twice then doesn't resubmit itself. This job used to run fine on a Win 2000 server. Any idea what could be causing this or how to make it run every 10 mins?

    Thanks.

It's a tiny bit tricky, but can be done.

Open up the task, and on the Schedule tab, make sure it's set to Daily, Starting at 12:00AM (or 00:00 depending on the clock you're using).

Then hit Advanced and tick the box to Repeat the Task. Repeat it every ten minutes, until 11:59PM (or 23:59). Click OK and then OK out of the task.

The Schedule in the list of tasks should then show

"Every 10 minutes from 12:00AM for 1439 minutes". It's messy, but it should work.

Was just about to post. It's working now. I had done exactly what you said three times. And did it again and it's started working. Baffling but I ain't touching it now that it's working :D
