    Hi,

I have just purchased a mountfield petrl lawnmower. During its first night of operation there was a rattling sound coming from the area storing the starting cord.

We stopd the lawn mower and when we tried to restart it the starting cord came off the pully.

When we open the cover of the unit to reseat the coard a large spring unwond and we can not get this back on

Do you think the shop will take back the unit or do we have to get it repaired.

If you have the receipt, the shop should definitely replace the unit as you did nothing wrong. Well within your consumer rights.

Before you take it back I suggest you put it all back together again, it could void your warranty if they discover you've tampered with it.
