Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You can set your phone to check automatically every x mins. It supports any POP3 account so Eircom.net would be fine.

If you follow through with the steps here - http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=ie&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps1_1_1_2&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10407 - you'll be able to send the settings out to your phone to get the bulk of the setup done for you.

nice 1 I presume I can get mail on request also, rather than setting a schedule, I know you can down load the gmail app, but can you set-up to phone to collect gmail every 20 mins or some thing like that

You can set the check interval for email to 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1hr, 2hrs, 3hrs, 4hrs, and 12hrs. If you utilise the pop forwarding setting in gmail, you can have it forwarded to the eircom email setup on the phone. Failing that, you can use the push email if your network allows it. I get gmail on my 3mail account by forwarding it to the 3mail and making sure push email was turned on.

    Hi guys

I downloaded the java gmail for mobiles application to my Sony K800i, and it was working like a dream for collection of email, but then it stopped working. I'm on the Vodafone network.

If I try to use the JAVA application version (downloaded onto my phone) it tells me
"Sorry Gmail for mobile will not work on your phone. Your phone does not have the appropriate certificate to communicate with the server. Try accessing Gmail for mobile on your mobile browser at http://mail.google.com"

[That despite the fact that the application had been working perfectly previously]

Now I cannot even collect such gmail even using the more basic version of gmail in my WAP browser.

I get messages saying "communication Failure: Secure connection failed"

    I have tried going to
    http://m.gmail.com and
    http://mail.google.com

but I get the same message.
    "communication Failure: Secure connection failed"

Any ideas? Are Vodafone messing me around? (Given I previously had access)

Did you install the certificates for Gmail again on your phone?
