Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Anyone have any ideas as to this problem....

I have a new home weather station, which records data, but in order to collect that data you have to hook the station up to your computer via a phone line type cable with a phone connection on one end (into the weather station) and a serial, 9 pin connection on the other end. As my lappy doesnt have a serial port I purchased a 'Manhattan Products Serial to USB converter'.

Installed the drivers etc etc, connected the weather station up to the computer, the software that came with the station opens, works, recognises the station.......then.......blue screen of death!!

Its happened everytime I hook it up to the computer (4 times or so by now), I've removed and reinstalled the driver, but still, after about 2 mins of hooking up the station to the computer, boom....blue screen! I'm running Vista and it seems that Manhattan drivers only go as far as XP, could this be the problem? Its not Vista compatatible yet? It works fine on my XP computer.

    Any ideas? Thanks :)

That is the most likely cause of the problem, a check of the makers website reveals they have Vista drivers available I would recommend try those instead.
