http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Very_High_Speed_Digital_Subscriber_Line_2 Look at that. About halfway down the page it says Eircom is suppose to start rolling out VDSL2 this year. Any truth?

NEC been selling the gear since maybe 2003? Not sure. It's hardly bleeding edge anymore.
