Well, I've already ordered this, so maybe this seems a bit pointless however it won't be here until tomorrow and I'm in a rush to get it built (heading back to uni on Sunday) so I need advice on any possible last minute tune ups.

    Qty SKU Description
    1.00 330169 Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz

    1.00 336401 OCZ StealthXStream Powersupply ATX/EPS,
    600W, 120mm Fan, 4/8pin CPU, 20/24pin

Few things, I decided to go for moderately fast 4gb of RAM rather than ultra fast 2gb of RAM. Correct decision? (The PC will be running 32 & 64bit Vista Ultimate, and probably XP as back up) I've heard 800mhz RAM is the thing to go for nowadays.
Second, the 600W PSU, is it enough? Obviously an 800GTS will be pretty demanding, I'll have 2 250gb hard-drives in there aswell, and the DVD Writer of course.
Now, this CPU, I hear stuff about it being the 2400+ of now, as in, hugely overclockable? Anyone have any experience with this? I know I'm only using a stock fan but for the future it would be highly helpful, this CPU was the same price as a Duo 3.0 gig, I THINK I made the right decision.

Any other help/criticism would be appreciate also, cheers!

Yup DDR-2 800 is fine pretty much the standard these days.

The 600W PSU is more than enough the 8800GTS is really not that demanding.

The Quad cores Q6600 are very overclockable but the problem is they put out a lot of heat and you need a good air cooler to keep temps in check, I'm currently running my Q6600 at 3Ghz with a Tuniq tower 120 cooler so I would not recommend overclocking with just the stock cooler.

To overclock to 3Ghz all you have to do is set the FSB in the bios to 333Mhz and then select a divider for the RAM so the RAM speed stays at or under 800Mhz.

Cheer 8T8, well the build actually arrived a day earlier than expected, I set it up and I'm on it now, of course .. there's a problem.

Namely in 3 games I've played so far (STALKER, CSS, BioShock) every one of them has caused my PC to stop and I've had to reset from the power switch. This happened with the last PC I built and after replacing both PSU and graphics card, it turned out to be a Memory Stick that was the problem!
I hope it's memory this time, I really don't feel like replacing graphics and PSU.
Or any ideas what it could be? overheating or anything?

The first thing i'd do is to manually set the memory timings and voltage in the bios. Bad default settings is the most common problem with new builds.

I would check temps first. Run coretemp and speedfan. And post screenshot of the temps at idle. And then under a stress test like prime 95.

Alls well, ran a program that stresses the RAM (and puts no stress on cpu or gfx) and it froze again, so I took out 2 of the RAM modules, still froze, then I took the other 2 out and put those back in, and no problems now.
And voila, komplett said I can return it for a different set, all is well!
