    Hey,
I have a HP laptop and got NTL Broadband there this week. I am using a straight ethernet connection from the modem.
Im losing my internet connection after about 5seconds, eg. i get onto google search for something when i click on a result it loads for a bit then says server not found.
Sometimes it wont even load google. Ive tried IE and firefox, same thing happens . Theres 2 laptops in the house and the second works fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Probably DNS settings. Do a 'ipconfig /all' from the command prompt on both pc's and compare results. Only the network card ip's should differ.
