Think that should put an end to Bentleys appearing on this thread then, anyone agree?!
Hasn't every Bentley in Ireland appeared at least twice anyway? :D

I know it's not, hence the quotes. The grille does ruin the look though.

A Merc CL55 AMG and yet another Aston (10 a penny at this stage - getting more common than the Bentleys).

I've seen a good few bently's in this country... but I'm looking at that picture now at the Phaeton in the background.... I've never seen one of those here, only saw one in Belgium. Thats rarer!

    RE: Phaeton

There is one in daily use in Naas/Sallins.

    BTW:
If you are referring to the photo in post #3121, it is a Chrysler and a Passat.

Also, looks very like a bently badge on the nose, and poster reckoned it was a bently... on second look, tis a chrysler alright. Well noted. Still a phaeton though!! :)

It looks nothing like a Phaeton, it's most definitely a Jetta.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,791 ✭✭✭prospect

    Wether its a Passat or Jetta I don't know/care.
But it is certainly not a phaeton, if it was it would be as big as the Chrysler.

My bad, it's a Jetta. I have those blocked from memory, hence I didn't recognise it. Knew it wasn't a passat.
Don't know how I missed the light cluster, stoopid Monday morning tiredness!
Still though, the back door shape is remarkably similar!!

That looks like a Shelby GT500. Rare, and expensive, especially in this part of the world.

Quite possible because it is a Bentley badge on the front. And indeed a Bentley front grille...

I know it's not a Bently, thats why I put quotes around it. It was a joke concerning all the posts a few months back about everyone seeing Bently taxis that were actually a Chrysler 300C.

Mother of God, less Chrsyler/Bentley discussion, more pics of exotics!

no that isnt a bentley badge, if you had taken the time to look at it you would clearly see that its a chrysler badge on a chrysler 300c ffs.

  • Moderators, Politics Moderators Posts: 39,822 Mod ✭✭✭✭Seth Brundle

There is a large difference between the Chrysler & Bentleys (lights, curves, badge, etc.)
Now lets get back on topic and as qz said, lets see some exotics!

Try again mate, it's a fake Bentley badge, on a fake Bentley grille, on a Chrysler 300c. Look at that link I posted. There's quite a few of them around this country.

The original Chrysler grille is much different than the Bentley one.

It looks like a Chrysler Badge to me. The Bentley badge is much different. See examples below.

PS - I've included a VW Phaeton pic also. I can't see how it could be confused with a Passat. :)

Does look a bit like it, being drunk could confuse you easly for a passat me thinks;)

The car in the pic looks nothing like a passat. Nor does a phaeton look like a passat. However seeing as the jetta is so boring, I blocked it from existance in my own mind, so thought it was a phaeton. Silly mistake I know, but the back door of a jetta isn't very unlike a phaeton one, if you look at the pics.
