Last night on the way home. The driver immediately stopped and started to reverse towards me. Very wide road, so I could quickly and safely overtake, but still...

Audi R8 south bound on N11 on Sat morning just past wicklow turnoff, am sure it had irish plates.. Didn't have the different colour side panels behind the doors though, but you couldn't miss the white LEDs on the front lights. Smaller looking in the flesh than pictures mind

You sure it wasn't an S5 , they have the LED's also . Saw one in Swords last week .

I think all the R8's come with the sideblades in contrast .

No almost 100% sure it was an R8, the Side Plates can be specified in same or different colour.. The Leds have that curve look on the front lights that I don't think the other new audi's do...(afaik)

I was also under the impression that they all have to come in deifferent coloured side panels , but if it was black and navey or something like that , it would hardly be noticeable.

That has to be one of the best looking cars ever designed imo!

He had put those A8 wheels on it too which personally I'm not a big fan of especially on the newer models which they were never intended for. That and the fact that I also saw them on a VW Caddy at the weekend!

Well spotted.. once he had reversed out, he gave my car some stare - it's no S6 or RS6 but at least Audi meant it to look the way it does
