At a garage in north Co. Dublin.

A 2001 CL 63 AMG V12 6.3 litre, one of only 26 made. The garage owner was saying it suffered very bad flood damage (interior completely stripped out), he is replacing all the interior and damaged parts and is going to keep it under wraps for 20 years.
Nice R32 in the background as well.

Hope this hasn't been posted before!!!

CL500 or 600 but definetely not a CL63 AMG, for a start they wernt out in 2001, and the 55amg 65amg and 63amg all have quad pipes, id say a cl500

Spotted not long ago in Phibsboro:
    dsc00112w.th.jpg
I think this was the 1st time I've ever seen one of these on the road, nice sound from it! Prob seen this before at some of the car shows.

Seen what looked like a Ferrari F355 but the more I looked at it the more it looked like a MR2 with Ferrari kit, and they didnt make the F355 in 2002 either.

Its definitely the real deal, it had a V12 AMG lump under the hood and in fairness to the garage owner he's hardly going to restore a car and keep it for 20 years if its a fake. Im pretty sure he knows what he is doing.

    Cheers Steve06!

Ya, I remember seeing it in the "what do you drive thread" although I thought that was a 240 and not a 260. Amazing looking car and it appears to be in A1 condition, a credit to the owner.

Back O/T I saw a current shape S65 AMG today, no pics although I have a pic of a white 997 Turbo and a white 335i with lovely Hartge wheels I'll through up this evening.

(haha, I see the owner of the Z changed the headlights, thought there was something different about it alright. Those new projection-style lamps are class)

    I think its a 260 - later variant of the original 240.
The 240 was a bare bones 2.4 straight 6. The american market dictated that the 240 get some electrics (windows and stuff) which made the car heavier and slower. hence the 260, and later the 280.
The purist will tell you that the 240 is king and all other variants are not as good.
The original 240z car had half crome bumpers at each corner, but with the safety brigade, that also changed with the 260 and full width bumpers came, along with more weight.
The mirrors should also be chrome on the 240z but the owner is obviously not going the down original route.
He has done a lovely job restoring it alright.
Lovely example and nice to see.

They are Projector HIDS, They are actually aftermarket lights for a Hummer which I modifies to fit. couldn't see where I was going with the standard lights :)...........I have tinted light covers on order from the states, the lights wont be as noticeable with them on.

And its actually a 1974 260z 2+2, although there are no rear seats!

Anyone ever seen an Alfa Romeo 8C? There was only 500 made and I am assuming that must of them are locked up safely, but thought I would ask just in case.
