I don't see why he should have to be honest, on my reading of the original post it was quite clear Hogzy was refering to the car and not its driver.

I agree , I find it more of an issue that somebody else has brought the person into the argument which has made it a discussion at this level. I don't accept he had to apologise because another moderator interpreted what somebody said incorrectly. This is a thread for cars, it's the moderator who should apologise for making it a racist issue.

How was your BMW after you rammed him off the road?!

Please tell me you at least beeped to get his attention and then pointed and laughed?

LOL that opel VX is hilarious! Why would you want to make your cool car a crappy tacky POS by doing that.

I wouldnt mind but the spacing on the lettering is perfect so it must have been professionally done.

There has to be a deep and meaningful reason why someone would do that.

    Hi all,

    I spotted this gem today:

Sorry if the quality isn't great - used my phone to record it.

Have pics of other machines, I'll lash them up when I get a chance.

The owner of the speedster posted up before that he put those badges on for the laugh, or something along those lines. Nothing to do with him wanting a merc, more so to spark debate and confusion.

Surely he could have just debadged it? And then just tell people its an Opel built by Lotus and watch their faces?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,391 ✭✭✭jozi

And all of the above is true :p

I'm ok with de-badging, but adding badges, no thanks. Like the famous Audi RS4 (even seen an RS6 once) 1.9TDI :(

To be honest I'm more surprised by the high registration number rather than the fact that someone bought one.
