Just found the thread, seem to be a few around alright. I assume it was one of the silver ones on page 11. Much better looking than the E60 IMO.

Had to light this up with my headlights as the carpark was so dark so the light is a bit weird.

    It's seriously clean!

Was it one of the one's you looked at when you bought your car?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,194 ✭✭✭MarkN

Nope. It was near 100K when I was buying, wasn't worth that at all nor was it in my budget - doesn't even have sat nav and for a 100k Porsche that's a joke!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,570 ✭✭✭rebel.ranter

I wonder will any of these ever move again? There are some seriously tasty motors in that car park, even the ones that are not for sale. There are a few AMGs CL63, S55 & G55 too.

The Porsche was brand new two years ago :pac: Is it still up for €100K?

Indeed, not original either (i think - twin pipes, wrong size alloys and a sticker that says "sport")
    Still, a nice example.

The Reventon roadster was not meant to have sold out, they were to build 20 of them but I think only 9 have sold/been built, so asking 1.7million for one is madness....

That car is going to plummet in value.

True it will plummet in value but then again if your the type of person who can afford a 1.7 million lamborghini, ferrari, zonda etc do you really car about value? I know i more than likely wouldnt at least i dont when i dream about it :)

Yeah, but Zondas/Enzos/CGTs are going up in value.... Lambo's very rarely do!

Lamborghini are desperate. Their US sales were down 53% last year. Their answer to this was to put a new body on the Murcielago and charge an extra €1.2 Million in the hope of making a quick profit.

I'm surprised that they managed to sell all 20 original Reventons, but it turns out that most of them went to speculators who thought they could sell the car immediately after delivery (at least 15 of the 20 Reventons have been offered for sale) and make a tidy profit. Well, that didn't work out and now it looks like most learned their lesson first time round.

The Reventon is a joke among supercar owners/enthusiasts. How can Ferrari sell 400+ Enzo's without customers even seeing what it looks like, yet Lamborghini can't sell 20 Reventon Roadsters months after its unveiling?

The €1.7 Million price tag sounds like a joke, no wonder nobody takes this car seriously.

Well I think you would be surprised - the Ferrari Enzo has continued to appreciate in value since it's release and Zonda's hold most of their value and some even appreciate, depending on the model.

There are several Ferrari owners that have passed up the new 599 GTO because it's very likely that the car will depreciate in value over the next few years. Why does the Reventon cost more than an Enzo, Zonda, Veyron? Without a doubt, it's the most expensive bodykit available today. I'm not surprised Lamborghini are struggling to shift 20 cars.

Where do you get this information from? Firstly they are the flagship special editions of the marques. For your information they will have dropped in price since release. Then over time will most likely appreciate. Just like most lamborghini flagship special editions.

PrettyBoy is absolutely spot on with regards to the current supercars & lambos.

The people who buy these cars are rarely stupid enough to drop half a million on a car without thinking about the residuals.... It would take a lot to make a real supercar guy/gal buy a Reventon for 1.5 million, when that would buy an Enzo & an F40 for the same price which would appreciate it value..... When you get to this end of the spectrum, the smart stay rich.

The reventon is a different matter in fairness. That was done for a different reason. Plus the fact the cgt and enzo were also built a fair few years ago therefore they have had a few years to be off the market and grow in value. If your being fair then you need to throw rare older lamborghinis into the mix and then you can see they are exactly the same as other special editions. You cannot talk about reventon residuls against enzos and cgts until a few years down the line when production has stopped nad values settle and then you can see if theres an increase or decrease.

True, but I'd say a LP670-4 SV will be worth more than a reventon in 8-10 years.

The only Lambo that has really gone up in value that I know of is the Miura P400 SV.
