That Range Rover thing looks like the crap Stephen Ireland would buy.

That Range Rover is really nice from the front.

Passed by it today, but the rear is absolutely hideous.

They're a haype'o'shoite no matter what way they're dressed up.

Is that the sports one or range rovers in general you're talking about E39? Those yokes were at the boys toys should in the RDS at the weekend, they had a proper Range Rover and a couple of shocking looking Sports, chromed 911 too!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭E39MSport

Yeah, the Sport. It's a disaster imo. Build quality is awful in a lot of them. Plenty of common expensive problems too. Great looker though.

Completely different to the FF but even that has its build quality issues.

In fairness a lot of the Sports problems have been ironed out in the facelifted version which is of a much highier build quality.

That Onyx is horrifically ugly to be fair.

The Onyx range rover was at Toys for big boys at he weekend. There was also a chrome Porsche 911. No pictures sorry

Don't think so. It's the same crowd of monkeys assembling them.

So once a factory makes a bad car they can no longer be expected to produce a good one again?

The facelift version is far improved. My brother owned both.

What in build quality terms was improved?

I saw that ONYX Range Rover today going past Jobstown in Tallaght today. Horrible looking yoke. Here is another silly looking one with KAHN on it.

Could be a genuine project Kahn. Those pipes sounds awesome on them - (edit) even on the V6 diesel.

One of them khan RR in that orange/black paint scheme passed me at fantastic speed for such a large machine near Warrington last year.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,256 ✭✭✭✭Eoin

Rotten looking yokes though. From here it just looks like they had to find a replacement panel in the scrapyard.

    Those ONYX range rovers
ONYX is an Irish company yes??
I assume they buy in parts from companies like KAHN etc. Then spray and fit them here ?
Or do they simply import project KAHN Range Rovers and change the badges on the bonnet and tailgate to their own ‘ONYX’ ?
Their body kits - are they unique? As in are they bespoke parts they manufacture themselves in Ireland ?
That ‘V8 ONYX’ reg. (‘V80 NYX’ I presume) is cool but if they are an Irish company why would they have a UK personalised plate on their demo car ?? or is it a ‘show’ plate
