It's amazing to think that €48 is enough to tax that beauty for a year. It looks in ridiculously good condition.

On a side note, I passes a 2011 grey Audi TTRS in Limerick city on Tuesday evening. First I've seen in the flesh. Very nice. No pic unfortunately. Can't imagine too many of those on this island.

sorry no pics, but passed this today: http://www.facebook.com/KellehersofMacroom#!/event.php?eid=208884405804310 just as it was about to kick off - was raging I didn't know about it till I was passing the damn thing, but saw a load of the cars heading down to it from Cork and got to see my first ever SportKa - didn't think there was any in Ireland since they didn't sell them here when they came out in the UK - happy days!

Went to England for the weekend. Had booked a vauxhall corsa and ended up with this. The most fun I've had in a long time....did almost 300 miles in it, and thankfully very little on motorways so could enjoy it properly!

Naturally I had it in sport mode full time :D

Pfft i bet you wont find a car as rare as a Diesel M3. One just lives down the road from me. It even has those 15" wheels to increase acceleration beyond that of a normal M3. Tis a beaut.

Seen this Gallardo out in bray the other week.

If that's got an Irish reg on it, I saw it about 5 miles from Holyhead yesterday after coming off the boat from Ireland. Spotted a Nissan GTR in dark grey doing 50mph on the slow lane of the motorway, a few DB9's, 911's everywhere, a Clio 192, couple of Focus ST's, and a Saab 93 Cabrio with 3 bikes on a rack on the back doing well over 100mph. Wouldn't like to be behind him when they came off at that speed!

Yeh it was an irish reg on the gallardo think it was either an 02 or 03d reg

I think the mirrors on the DB9 look great, would need to see it head on but they look good in the 3/4 shot at least!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,354 ✭✭✭cjmcork

I LOVE the aston..........(alright the chrome mirrors aren't great, but hey, Cindy Crawford's got a mole..........so perfection has flaws, eh!):D

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,436 ✭✭✭Marcinek_55

I said that i don't like chrome mirrors on that aston - not if it's black... i don't know why but it wasn't look nice for me. Almost positive i saw one of these this morning - on what looked like on route to mondello
    3138866299_410b10b65f.jpg
Thorney Motorsport, a UK based tuner that specializes on road and track cars has launched its own range of modified Vauxhall Astra and Corsa VXRs (sold in the rest of Europe as the Opel Astra and Corsa OPCs). Both hot hatches are available in two variants, the VXR-S (Sport) and the more heavily modified VXR-R (Race) with Thorney Motorsport announcing that only 25 units of each version will be produced. The entry-level VXR-S models come equipped with a race suspension set up that brings the Astra and Corsa VXRs 30mm closer to the ground, uprated brake pads, lightweight 18-inch black alloy wheels, sport livery, a sport exhaust system and engine upgrades.

In particular, the Astra VXR-S’ 2.0-liter turbocharged engine develops an output of 280 bhp for a 0 to 60mph (96 km/h) sprint of 5.2 sec and a maximum speed of 160 mph (257 km/h). The Corsa VXR-S 1.6-liter turbo unit produces 220 bhp accelerating the hot supermini from standstill to 60 mph in 5.8 sec and on to a top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h).

    Looked fantastic
