2% on deposits is piss poor atm, there are much better rates to be had so if you intend leaving your money in for any length of time(few years) you would be better off shopping around and doing the math.

I would agree, it won't turn thousands into millions but a very handy €20. you don't even have to use the account once you have your 20 quid in your pocket.

Yes but if you open an account you get a free 20 quid which is more than you'd make if you left €500 on deposit for one year at the best available interest rate right now.

Also, joining Rabo comes with the possibility of hassling your friends,neighbours and strangers on the internet to take invites off your hands this time next year and net yourself another €100. So there's the possibility of earning €120 with only the outlay of one euro. There are just no negatives here really.
