old age question what to buy!!?

ok car lovers....
,,,,,,,,may well be coming into some cash in near future,,,so am putting around 17,000 to 19,000 to a new car if poss...basically need something that i can get near 10 years out of!!,,,am NOT a car killer,,nor a slow coach,,just a driver who gets to and fro safe enough......am drummer in 2 bands,,so carry my veryy large drumset in my seat ibiza!!,,yeahh it all fits,,and me in driving seat,..but not a bit of space for a passenger or anything else for that matter with all those drums!!
Sooo... I really like the look and reputation of the seat Leon's but am open to suggestions etc,,,anyone else got any as non biased as possible recomendations??

That will take your drumkits no problem and the 1.6 Diesel is supposed to be very good (you can get it in 1.4 petrol as well, if you want)

...thanx for that..but am really going after a car - new or newish.....medium sized like a Leon or Focus, Corrolla, Vento, Golf etc,any ideas suggestions on what would be overal a good buy for around a 17.000 price??\

Basically the same car as the Seat Leon/VW Golf. And it may not have been mentioned here before but it has a very large boot.

Getting stuck with a focus for 10 years sounds like a fate worse than death. This will age far better than most. It will suit you now and will suit you in 10 years. Drums? No problem. Diesel. leather, too.
