Growing in a greenhouse overwinter

Anyone done this. Was thinking of putting me 55gal water holder in the greenouse 6x8. Although I loose a bit of space do you think it will stop the greenhouse going below 0 just so my planst survive over the winter. I was watching the program "its not easy being green" and I might try there method next year. regards Garyh3
