E mail outside the collage

    Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble getting there collage e mail working at home, i keep on getting the error message:

    "The host 'exchstudent2.ul.ie' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
    Account: 'exchstudent2.ul.ie', Server: 'exchstudent2.ul.ie', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D"

    Iv followed the guide on the ul website to a tee and im just wonderinig anyone know what the story is?

    If you are trying to setup the account in outlook use exchstudent1.ul.ie, student ID No. as username and your usual college network password and select "Outgoing server requires authentication" option. If you just want to check your email using a web browser then use https://exchstudent1.ul.ie/exchange.

    VPN is used to remote login to the college network to access some of the resources only available from inside the college network such as library journal subscriptions etc.. access is from https://checkin.ul.ie/.
