Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

10 seconds of dead silence at start of calls

    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I'm on Meteor business account with multpie phones. On some calls that I make or take, I notice that a few calls start with about 10 seconds of total dead silence after the call is connected. This is frustrating as the other party usually hangs up thinking it's a bad connection.

    I've seen two things happen.

    1. Either I call out or receive a call, the first 10 seconds of the call is total dead silence, not even background noise. After that initial 10 seconds, everything is fine.

    2. When I receive a call, I can hear the other party but they cannot hear me for the first 10 seconds or so. They hear dead silence but I hear them.

This has been going on for months. Initially, I thought it was a problem with my phone until I realised a pattern. It only seemed to be when the other party was a Meteor customer too. So it then looked like a Meteor network issue. But yesterday the boss said that he only gets it when he rings me. It also happened when a landline called me yesterday. But I think that's the only time it happened from a landline.

So, a few minutes ago, I started the process of getting my phone fixed when a guy beside me [also on Meteor] said he noticed the same thing on his phone. He thinks it's just calls to and from mobiles.

So either both our phones are dodgy [different makes and models. Mine is a Nokia, his is Sony Ericsson] or there maybe something wrong on the network.

    Has anyone else seen this?
