Just got this album last night and I must say I'm hugely impressed. Their sound has evolved from their previous heavy metalcore roots and is far more "old skool" sounding. Standout tracks so far are Within Destruction and the single Nothing Left....

That was quite good alright. Read a coulpe of good reviews of this album but never went and listened to any of it. They're distinctly heavier than I remember them too.

I'm gonna get this at the weekend. Been looking forward to it for ages. Frail Words Collapse was an ok album but very generic I thought and Shadows Are Security really was different so I'm looking forward to what they've brought to the table this time.

    Old school what exactly?

Just sounds like more generic, uninteresting "dime a dozen" material from the modern "OMGmetal" scene. I found this to be absolutely devoid of any merit that allows it to stand distinctly apart from the rest of the trend that's going these days, bar the abscence of obvious breakdown grooves. That's just my opinion.

And you're entitled to it, in fact when I posted it I assumed you'd say something similar to your reply. ;)

In terms of the "old skool" comment, it was the first thing that came to mind when I heard the guitars throughout the album. Another example would be the aforementioned track "Within Destruction"...

    What a band.
    New album is delightful too.
Still can't beat BTEOA for me though.

Savage band. They are becoming one of my favourite metal bands atm.

The double-bass drum pedal in that song.....wish I could do that!

Have they ever played here before?

Not as far as I'm aware unfortunately. :(
