I'm meeting Kdouglas at penny's on oconnell street on sunday morning. Exact time to be decided. I'll be the one in the camo with the guns.

Do those of us who are driving want to plan a staging area to meet up and travel together in a pack? Maybe somewhere up along the M1? Like the hard shoulder after the swords exit?

er.... it's illegal to stop on the hard shoulder except for in emergencies

if you want to do that, i'd say meet at the carpark for airside retail park (off the m1, head towards swords for a couple of minutes) or somewhere else

Keith its up to you where we meet but just bear in mind Im in Bray and will have to get there.

Surprisingly difficult from our end of the woods, believe me.

On a Saturday it takes between 90 minutes (same as a weekday) to two and a half hours to get from Greystones to Dublin. Bray, depending on the traffic, can knock off maybe a half hour.

I used to go back and forth to bray quite often on the dart and it took 50-65 mins. Now, I know you're not in the centre of bray, but I would have figured you could get a bus to the dart station in Bray and get the dart from there up to Tara Street or Connolly station.

well most people will probably be using the city centre as a meet up point for lifts and such, so that's a good idea

so anyone who wants to travel in a convoy, raise your hand and we'll organise a meet point in town

Unless theres a 6 o'clock bus to the dart station, thats not really an option.

hi guys new to airsoft was hopin to go up north 2 try out the sites up there.I'm not fully up on the Violent Crime Red Bill, why will that stop lads travelling nrth. Can anyone tell me where to get info on the bill please

It's a UK law which has nothing to do with the Republic of Ireland. It will however cover Northern Ireland.

They are basically restricting the buying and selling of replica firearms. So there will be issues with going to Predator as you'll effectively be "importing" your gear when you drive across the boarder into the north as it falls under UK law.

Theres a good bit of information about it over on the www.airsoftireland.com forums.

thnx 4 d info, i know this has prob been asked a ton of times b4 but there's a federation of airsoft clubs in uk that is lobbying the gov to try and influence new legislation to keep them from banning the sport altogether.i have a bunch of friends at wrk and we're try to set up a club.is there any such federation in ireland yet.bad press like that young gimp in the uk with the ak in england durin the week and you'll hear people up in arms to ban airsoft here.

Currently we have the Irish Airsoft Association which is being set up by players.

Membership is free as of now. There are application forms at the top of this forum.

yes, you'd still be able to use rentals up there

you'll have to ring ahead and book etc.. and also predator dont always allow rentals, some days are walk-on only (i.e. with your own gear)

Ok, just off the phone with Predator to give them advance warning of a maurauding horde invading. All is good. £15 per person walk-on for the day.

So can we have a final show of hands?

And is there anyone coming along who won't have an AEG with them and needs rental? If so, we need to know fairly sharpish so rental kit can be set aside.

Cant confirm as doesnt know yet but we have P90, FAMAS, AUG, M9, M500x3, AWP and MP7 next few days. Plenty for four people.

Looks like it'll be a great day. Specially if we get a good bunch of northerners playing too.

Lethal ... I don't care what AEGs you're getting or think you're getting. Really, I don't. I'm not trying to rude or anything, but I've already said all i want to know right now are numbers. If there are rentals, we need to get them booked in case it's going to be a busy day.

The Aeg, and approx 30 litres of other stuff including the pistol, BBs shirt, hat, gloves, vest, usual stuff. shouldn't be excessive.

Evolute: Talking to Kdouglas and it was agreed for us to meet at pennies on oconnel street. Exact time is to be decided but yer talking about around 7am anyway.

I hate you all for leaving without me.

My plan for Sunday:
1) Do the laundry including the ironing
2) Clean out cooker and fridge
3) Get all those silly guns off the couch and coffee table
4) Fix dvd player so that Kelly's Heroes isn't stuck in on constant playback anymore

That's the list my girlfriend left to be completed for Monday when she gets back. Of course, what will actually happen is this;

My (actual) plan for Sunday:
1) Do one load of laundry and forget to take it out of the washing machine
2) Go to the fridge and realise we still have beer
3) Drink said beer while sitting among "silly" guns with my feet on the coffee table
4) Watch Kelly's Heroes

Ok, new intel, can keep up, just worse exceleration. My dad thinks that it'll take us 2 hours from there so could we leave the statoil at 7:00 am rather than 7:15 to allow us to eat our cherios when we get there:D .

BTW, anyone got a GoogMaps Screeny of where that statoil is.
