STI in the HSE

    The HSE has introduced STIs into the health service, no not those kind of STIs. Ok lets not confuse the issues they have introduced ISTIs a new form of STIs.

    They are more Innovative and are becoming such a problem in the HSE that they thought the best place for expectant mothers in a Hotel. (Women having a little bit of a problem giving birth, but not that much of a problem that they need a hospital bed. or also call low risk mothers, they might be expecting a baby, but who knows).

    So back to these ISTIs also know as I Should have Thought of It! no sorry Innovative Short Term Initiatives. (The guy or girl who came up with this statement should be shot and sent to a hotel for Innovative Short Term Initiatives to take place upon arrival).

    Oh yes the government did look at that Census they took back in 2001 and thought it would better to leave things to a referendum on babies sure that will solve all our problems. No need for hospitals.

    The government has now decided that it is time for a new referendum which would allow Expectant mothers go on a waiting list of at least Nine Months to a year after they are expectant this should reduce the number of babies but increase the number of expectant mothers. Ironically the numbers of Irish Woman going to Britain to have a baby will increase.

    Anyway IMO on a more serious note Ms. Harney time to go.

    She's not responsible for what the management of a particular hospital decide to do.
    Or do you really think she spends her day micro-managing every health clinic in the country?
    It takes a long time to add more hospital capacity and the consultants not playing ball isn't helping.

    The Roman Catholic Church is beyond despicable, it laughs at us as we pay for its crimes. It cares not a jot for the lives it has ruined.

    To be fair, we have had a heck of a lot of immigrants of child-bearing age enter the country since then (this is not 'blaming' immigrants for anything, btw.)

    No but it was one of the so called reasons for the last referendum.

    We take a cenus every five years to insure that we have the enough schools, hospitals, roads and other public services. We know that more babies both foreign and national will be born in Ireland. All of whom will play important rolls in the future of Ireland.

    Mary Harney as Minister for Health cannot continue to scapegoat the managers, nurses and doctors of the health services (Even women who want to have babies). She as minister must insure that there are enough beds and that the PR dept of the HSE do not come up with stupid and wasteful terms like Innovative Short Term Initiatives as an excuse for lack of beds.

    So yes Mary Harney is responsible for the Health service. If we continue down the road of "Innovative Short Term Initiatives" we will have more patients in Hotel beds.
    Or do you really think she spends her day micro-managing every health clinic in the country?

    A national maternity hospital is not a health clinic.
