    Lads,
Turning on the heat at home even though it's only September but boiler won't fire. Yes, there is oil/kerosene in the tank. I need to bleed the burner, I guess, to get the oil coming through. Now I 've done this before but this time it doesn't seem to be working. I am wondering if anyone knows a right way or a wrong way to do this.
I opened a bolt on the bottom left of the burner and kept trying to fire it up. This used to bring the oil through but not this time. Is this the right way to do this ? I have checked the tank and the line and everything is fine and loads of oil in tank.

    It's a roomsealed SUPER-Q . The burner is a G5X

    Thanks

P.S. Hope this is the right thread !!!!!!!

Try loosening the allen screw out to the side just above that bolt. Oil should bubble out. Maybe the fire valve is off or faulty. If nothing comes through, loosen the oil line and see if the oil is coming through.
Do not turn the flat screw - that is for adjustment.
    Jim.

Did you check that the valve on the bottom of the tank is open. Also check that the filter isn't blocked.
