Driving to work this morning in my 2001 Laguna and the engine coolant light came on.

Any ideas of what action I need to take or how I can resolve the problem?

Does it need to go to a Renault garage or can a local mechanic solve the issue?

    Any help appreciated.

    Regards,

Check the level in the coolant bottle? ;)

That's the first course of action. If the coolant level continually drops then you've got a leak.

Be sure to open the coolant tank cap when the engine is cold. If you do it when the engine is hot you could scald yourself.
