Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure if this is the right place for this but anyway.. Anyone know of a way to revive scratched cds? Short of going out and buying a whole new collection and I have no idea how to burn copies and don't have a laptop, a lot of the ones I have that are scratched wouldn't be available to buy in shops anymore, old dance compilations etc...

    Cheers :)

Just to say, I don't endorse any of the solutions above.

I found them on this thing called Google.

T-Cut works too, also on DVDs. I've used this a few times.

Toothpaste works for me! Just rub it in with a soft cloth until it disappears.

as far as i know, if a cd is scratched, you're legally allowed download the music from the internet because you've already bought a license for it. i'm open to correction on this

If you have a Smyths near you I think they all have the same machines for repairing disks...they do 4 for 10 euro...well worth it, they work 9 times out of 10..or do what I did, get a job there and do them for free :) PS don't do that...its not worth it

Ya i'd back up the toothpaste theory. I heard it years ago so tried it with a cd that i didn't mind wrecking and it worked great. Ya might have to do it every month or so because it doesn't permently fix it

Picture him saying "70 snots" in a Limerick accent.

And if you don't have internet access, you can just walk into HMV and pick up the CD you want and walk out. Tell the security guard and he'll be fine with it.

I remember Game used to sell some device for repairing scratched CDs and DVDs, not sure if they still stock it though.

I find that copying them into media player removes a lot if not all of the scratches from cds....

Just means re-burning them later, at least you have a copy on your HD though...

Oh and , Highest quality bitrate please!
