Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Halo 3 - Hugely disappointing?

    I found bioshock hugely enjoyable, but I can understand people falling for the hype and being disappointed. I had a fair idea of what I was going to be getting because of all the system shock 2 comparisons, so I could enjoy it for what it was instead of what I heard it was going to be.

    Same goes for Halo 2 (and 3 now), it's not in anyway a miracle of modern gaming (like half life was at the time) but it was a solid single player game and excellent multiplayer experience. Halo 2's greatest contribution to the genre was being the forerunner of the whole xbox live experience and multiplayer online on consoles. Which I'm glad to see is starting to leak over to the pc side of things with steam's new community stuff.

    I will buy halo 3 and enjoy it, same way as I enjoy every good game I play whether it's hyped or not. And just because something is hyped, doesn't mean it's overreated. Some people get swept up in hype certainly and become apologists for the game, but also some people have an allergic reaction to hype and become way too hard on the game. Just cause you're not a fanboy doesn't mean you're right.
