    Hammond meets Jonathan Ross
    If you're planning a quiet Friday evening in front of the telly, make sure you catch Richard Hammond's appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross at 10.35pm on BBC One tonight.

    Richard - a GQ man of the year, don't forget - will be discussing his just-released autobiography On the Edge, which covers his infamous jet car crash and miraculous recovery.

    We wouldn't be surprised if he slips in a quick mention of the new series of Top Gear TV, which kicks off on Sunday October 7.

    That's your TV viewing sorted for the next couple of months, then.
