Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Text alert to new emails

    Was with vodafone and used their email, which was great as, they sent you a txt when you had a new message. I moved over to 3 and took my 087 number with me. I am now blocked from accessing vodafone email. (fair enough). 3 dont offer a txt email service. Anyone know a service that will alert me to new emails ? It is important because I am looking for a new place to live, and daft.ie send me emails when a place that fits my criteria comes up. Anyone know where I could get a new email add that txts me when a new mail arrives ? Thanks..Mark

    Three provide you with a 3mail account. Set up your email to forward to your 3mail account. That's what I do with my gmail account. It works great.

    But can I get sms notification on new emails via the 3mail address? How do I go about doing that?

    No but the emails are sent to your phone.

    Ring 3 at 333, you will get onto a call centre in India, they will sort it for you....Jesus, small world !! global village etc !!:confused:

    They told me its not possible... Only voicemail notifications, not emails.. did they tell you differently?

    They set it up there and then, works a treat now, txt for every mail, It even reads it out to you....sounds very funny wnen someone calls you a bollix in the email, Indian accent saying bollix !I must email myself with gob****e in the subject box !! Anyway call them 333. they will set it up for you.Mark

    If your phone has push email the 3mail works if you pop forward something like gmail to your 3mail account. But.............. be aware that they charge for emails. I found out when my balance started dropping on the phone. Never checked the site before hand. Pricing in the link below.

    Got it set up now... It just tells me I have new emails, is it not possible to get the sender email and header text in that sms message, like on meteor?
