    Apparently they're both pretty good, but im undecided as to which one to get, any opinions?? Pros?? Cons?? Appreciate your input!

    aplitube is less noisy and has better sims

    Thats a toughie alright, they are both equally good however there isn't much preloaded tones with Amplitube you kinda have to play around with it yourself or alternatively download pre configured tones from the net. Guitar rig has loads of tones, crazy trippy stuff, reverse delay everything basically though you really need decent pickups. The distortion tones are very dirty and scratchy whereas amplitube tones have a cleaner touch to them. Note Guitar Rig models some bass amps also whereas Amplitube doesnt....

    I find Amplitube really quick, convenient and stable. Sounds animal too.

    id go for amplitude too,sounds great and theres tons of stuff on it, the ampeg svt version is wicked for bass sounds, you can download a free demo of both from the ik site afik

    They compared Amplitube to a Toneport and to 7k worth of hardware. The results are interesting. There are sound examples there too.
