Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    This made me laugh!

    11834156aw7.png

It looks like they used an actual picture of Goldberg for the mystery partner, they just blanked out his face.

Poor old Steve Williams thrown into a gimmicks match, at least Valentine is there too. Muta and Ultimo Dragon would have been good years ago. Rey's dad still wrestles?

To be honest, it has the looks of a TNA ppv, absolutely scraping the barrel for big names from 15 years ago, and then lumbering the young athletic ones into a battle royal. Russo's gotta be involved. ;)

That card of wrestlers is strangely intriguing, f only for how crappy some of the matches will be.

And yeah its definitely Goldberg in that pic, but I bet any money it won't be him.

in fact i guarantee half the names on this will no-show, it always happens with things like this.

I would be very suprised if this card dosen't fall through

Going by the posture, it looks more like Austin to me.
    Whatever. It'll probably be eugene.

Rey Sr is Rey Jr's uncle, I don't think he's wrestling regularly anymore, but his son is

This reminds me of a promotion a few years ago that had a mystery wrestler, with the unmistakeable profile of Ultimate Warrior in the photo. When everyone started talking about Warrior, the picture was quickly changed

So are TNA allowing their guys to appear on this ppv, yet they won't let them appear on PWG DVDs?

Haha, if you look at the site, Goldberg is booked for the FanFest thing, and the photo they have of him is the one used above, only he's facing the other way

The whole thing has been a disaster. From www.f4wonline.com
Details are sketchy, but the latest in the Cow Palace Fan Fest disaster according to a source close to the situation is that nearly everybody's checks with the exception of Goldberg and Roddy Piper bounced, all three promoters have disappeared (Chris Salisbury who arranged the convention and MMA promoters David Huerta and Phil Flathers), and the only MMA fight of the weekend involved Don Frye after the entire fight card scheduled for Saturday night was canceled.

Frye apparently got into an altercation with a bodyguard while it was being explained by one of the MMA promoters to the other fighters that because the show was canceled, they weren't being paid. According to a source, Frye, who had been trying to mediate the meeting, challenged the bodyguard to take it outside after the bodyguard had screamed at him and poked him repeatedly in the chest. When Frye turned around he was sucker-punched twice. They got into a brawl, the police were called, and then later Frye and the bodyguard happened to run into each other again and had another fight. There are reports that Don was knocked out, but he was in the hotel shortly afterwards signing autographs for people so that story is likely inaccurate. He did have a huge shiner. We should have more on this story later today.

I am told that ROH officials met with the Cow Palace, and as of Saturday night the 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon show is still on. There are also rumors that a new individual has offered to step in to try to save Sunday's convention festivities.

Latest on Lex Luger is that he is still in the hospital and they don't believe he suffered a heart attack or a stroke. According to one source, it is believed he had a lumbar issue that resulted in partial paralysis ("nerve impingement").

I would enjoy seeing that. The hard work will be to have all the wrestlers show ! Other then that it would be a good laugh . Didnt thing Dr Death was still wrestling .

Nah, it's a fairly generic font that can be downloaded off the internet and has been downloadable for years. Many websites have used it since :)

The Wrestling Observer says that it was the bodyguard of Dog the Bounty Hunter's son who punched Frye. Yer man was going to be on the MMA show but I think it was the company that airs Dog the Bounty Hunter that made him pull out

Steve Austin is appearing today now. Even if the Friday and Saturday went ****e, ROH and Austin on the Sunday sounds alright!

Blue Meanie said on figure four that it was supposed to be Mike Tyson. Thats what the promoter told him.

Man, Tyson has such a bad rep with special guest appearances in wrestling! Remember he was meant to be the guest ref for Hogan v Savage at The Main Event in February 1990?, only Buster Douglas knocked him out and Vince went with him for a lot less money. Unfortunately he got a lot less star power as the crowd didn't give a sh*t about him!
