Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there a certain time of year that O2/3/Vodafone/Meteor/Carphone Warehouse decide to release new phones onto the market?

Looking at upgrading and nothing really new or fancy really about unlike the UK!! Our choise is very limited. How I wish we could get the deals they get!

They usually get new handsets in at christmas for that market so I would hang on 2 more months!!

the networks have very little control over when handsets are released, that is down to the manufacturers. Expect to see new handsets out late october early november for Christmas.

True, but the operators do a long list of tests and verification before they release new handsets.

they do and the problem O2 and Vodafone have is that those tests are done at a group level and then, I believe also at a local level, which is why Meteor are quite often first to market with a handset.

O2 and Voda will have a lot more negotiating power with the manufacturers though so they are more likely to get "Exclusive" handsets. That said, Meteor don't seem to do too badly.
