Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Here's the story

*I have a netopia wireless modem supplied with eircom. The range is terrible and the speed isn't great eirther

    * I bought a netgear wireless router (not modem router) and I want to use that to send out the signal

How do I turn off the wireless on the netopia router so that the netgear router is only sending out the signal

Do I need to change my netgear wireless router for a modem router

    please help

Not next to it now, but you log onto the Netopia routers webpage, goto Expert Mode, click on wireless, and there's an option to have it on or off.

Apart from turning off the wireless signal on the netopia you will also need to turn off the dhcp function on one or other of the machines. Otherwise you will have two routing functions switched on which will cause chaos in your network.

I turned off the wireless on the netopia router as well as put it in bridging mode. This did the job perfectly!!

    Thanks for the help :)
